This can be a pretty basic repair.
This water pump is timing belt driven. Replace the water pump with a new timing belt.
Directions for the water pump can be seen

There is no special tool needed. The crank pulley has a mark on the bottom that you can line up with a mirror. timing belt is even marked for initial installation. The 'usual' directions are far more complicated than need be.

You will need a special tool to reset the valve timing if the idler between the cam gears or the idler towards the front of the engine is loosened.

1. Reset the valve timing with the 1, 2, 3 and 4 cam gear marks lined up with the mark on the engine and on the timing belt. The #1 cam is nearest the firewall.
