i'm not sure what you mean heater panel, dash vent grill, dsfroster grill, dash control panel?
what did you have to do to remove panel?
Not heater panel, header
Not heater panel, header panel. It is what the headlights and grill mout to on the front of the truck. I just bought it as a rebuilder and it had struck a deer so all the plastic is broken out.

Some of them have cilps on
Some of them have cilps on the side to hold them in, others have bolts. hopefully the clips aren't broken and the new one will just "snap in".

GRILLE OPENING REINFORCEMENT (GOR)
REMOVAL
1.Open hood.
2.Remove grille.
3.Remove front fascia. Refer to Frame and Bumpers for Removal/Installation procedures.
4.If equipped, remove license plate bracket from bumper fascia/crossmember.
5.Remove side marker and turn signal lamps. Refer to for Removal/Installation procedures.
6.Remove headlamps.
7.Remove bolts that attach grille opening reinforcement (GOR) to the upper and lower crossmember Grille and Grille Opening Reinforcement (GOR)
8.Remove grille opening reinforcement.
9.If necessary, remove air seals located at headlamp wiring inlets GOR Air Seals
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse removal procedure.
