How the heck to you change rear end U joints on a 2003 chevy trailblazer v-6 4x4?

They have to be pressed out

They have to be pressed out and also back in , after the drive shaft is removed. There is a tool made just for it.

There is a different way to

There is a different way to save the money. First remove the C clips and then take and put the yoke in a vice(make sure to clamp it so that the yoke will become loose first.) and hold the shaft in hand and with a six pound short handled hammer smack downward on the collar(the welded area on up toward the yoke.Nothing else or you risk damage to the driveshaft) of the drive shaft. The weight of the driveshaft will aid in the u joint coming out of the yoke.Once the yock is free then press the U joint in the vice so that the shaft can drop once so smack it again..
This always worked for me in the past. Now if there are no C clips then yes they are pressed in and you will need to go to a shop.Sometimes you need to scratchs around a the U joint's cap to find them because of dirt.
