How to change a crank position sensor on a 2006 F150 5.4

CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR

Removal and Installation

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist.
Disconnect the battery ground cable.
Remove the accessory drive belt.

Loosen the A/C compressor bolts enough to slide the A/C compressor down 25 mm (1 in) , to allow access to the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.
To install, tighten to 25 Nm (18 lb-ft) .
Disconnect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
Remove the bolt and the CKP sensor.
To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in) .
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
