I am having trouble starting my ford engine. I replaced the starter and the solenoid, replaced the wires and battery cables, but still only get a clicking noise. I tried jumping it, but still nothing happens but the clicking noise. What do I do next?

You need to access your crank

You need to access your crank bolt and put a large breaker bar on a socket and see if it moves. Don't know the miledge or anything but you may have something in the engine frozen up. See if you can move the crank bolt and go clockwise so you don't loosten the crank bolt. Let me know if it moves.

Sometimes when you jump start

Sometimes when you jump start a car, you may not get all the OJ (amps) that the engine needs. This may have to do with the condition or rating of the jumper cables and may also have to do with the condition of the battery, if it's really weak or has failed.

I would recommend swapping in a good battery and see what happens. If it turns out to be your battery, check out conusmer reports or other similar publications for recommendations on purchsing a new battery. Otherwise, i think I would go with Interstate. They consistently perform well in my experience.

The crankshaft moved when I

The crankshaft moved when I pried on it, so the engine is not froze. I took my meter and found out that the starter is getting power, but the starter is doing nothing with it. I tried jumping the starter, but still nothing. I took the starter down to the shop and they said it ran fine. I saw it work on their machine. I can't figure what else to do. Thanks for your help
