I have 04 Dodge Durango 4.7 liter engine 8 cyl. It is a 4 wheel drive and the the drive shaft seems to be slipping from the front transfer case is there a way that I can disconnect the drive shaft from the transfer case and turn my vehicle into a 2 wheel

i've never done it and have

i've never done it and have to see how it connects but it seems like you could take it off at the u joints, just guessing. i don't know if the sleeve would stay without the shaft.

removing the shaft is no

removing the shaft is no problem, but the type of transfer case will make a diff.. if it's a quadratrac it will not move, if it's select trac it will drive ok in 2wd. ** also if it's removed from a quadratrac it will not hold park with shaft removed ** post the numbers from the round tag on the back of transfer and i'll let you know.

in short, all wheel drive

in short, all wheel drive system=no, if you can pick the drive ex:2hi,=yes
