I have a 1993 jeep grand cherokee. need to replace the starter switch or key cylinder. I get no spring back when I turn the key. How to I disengage the air bag before repairs?

any time, glad to help. one more thing, when you get the bag out, place it under the jeep on a rag or some thing, befor picking it back up wet a finger and touch the door jam striker or bear metal, this will ground you and remove any stadic eletric charge built up on you. always be carefull when handling air bags. need any thing eles i'm here. mws919

IF I ONLY HAVE TO CHANGE THE IGNITION KEY CYLINDER DO I STILL HAVE TO REMOVE THE WHEEL AND AIR BAG OR IS THERE A WAY TO REMOVE CYLINDER ONLY?
