there might be 2 problems as where the abs module will not set an engin light. check the front speed sensors frist, if the wiring is not damaged, replace the speed sensor on the spindel that was replaced. let us know.
Spindle problem may have
Spindle problem may have damaged ABS wheel speed sensor, this would cause the light to come on.
Easy test: (engine off--ign switch off)
raise the driver's side wheel.
Disconnect the wheel speed sensor.
connect volt meter (set to read AC current) to the two connectors inside of the abs speed sensor connector
Spin the wheel by hand
the meter should read about 2 volts if the sensor is good.
