5-STUD HUB/BEARING

1.Raise and support the vehicle.
2.Remove the wheel.
3.Remove the cotter pin and axle hub nut.
4.Remove the caliper with adapter and rotor.
5.Remove the ABS speed sensor, if fitted.
6.Back the hub/bearing mounting bolts off 1 / 4 in. each.
7.Tap the bolts with a hammer to loosen the hub/bearing from the steering knuckle.
8.Remove the hub/bearing mounting bolts and then the hub/bearing.

To install:

9.Apply anti-seize compound to the splines of the drive shaft.
10.The remainder of the procedure is the reverse of removal. Tighten all hardware to the proper torque specifications. Refer to the charts. Use a new cotter pin.
11.After installation, apply the brake several times to seat the brake shoes and piston. Do NOT drive the vehicle until a firm pedal is achieved.

4.Remove the caliper.
5.Remove the cotter pin and hub nut.
6.Remove the ABS speed sensor.
7.Back the hub/bearing mounting bolts off 1 / 4 in. each.
8.Tap the bolts with a hammer to loosen the hub/bearing from the steering knuckle.
9.Remove the hub/bearing mounting bolts and then the hub/bearing.

To install:
