I have a 1999 Toyota Avalon (6 cyl) 156k miles. about 10 days ago it started to run rough. It started right after a huge snow storm with slushy driving. When the engine warms up it runs much better. Checked-no loose wires or no check engine lights

get a spray bottle with water
get a spray bottle with water in it and with the engin idling spray the plug wires, then look to see if there is tiny sparks arching around wires,"works better in low light", if you see arching replace plug wires.
