I have a 2001 Dodge Ram Diesel 4x4 2500. When you first start it and put it in drive the truck won't move. If you let it idle for a minute or so it will go, but it feels like is slipping a little in lower gears, 10-15 mph jerky. What is the problem?

well if its the cummins deisel, like all deisels. you should start them and let them warm up for a little while before driving.

the back flow check valve may be cloged,check the fluid level in the transmission,see if the color of the fluid is dark,and the fluid level is low,take the in line check valve out and replace it.
