I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4.7L v8 I have changed the water pump & thermostat why is it still overheating ?

make sure all air is out of

make sure all air is out of cooling system and that the belt is routed correctly, if ok, try a chemical test on rad. to check for head gasket leak.

is it boiling over or gauge reads hot/in the red?

during the cooling system

during the cooling system test make sure that they check the radiator cap as well. I've seen plenty of vehicles overheat because of faulty radiator caps.
