I have a 98 ford taurus, when I try to start it the lights, electric windows, ect. work but it will not turn over. makes no sound. Have tried starter, new battery, ignition, fuses. It does have an alarm but no code to punch in, just the theift light .

try putting the key in drivers door and turn it to lock and unlock. that will some times reset the alarm moduel. let us know.

I tried and still nothing. The theift light on the dash used to blink but it has stopped. Something is keeping the battery drained. Even a new battery went dead overnight. I dont know what could have happened. The car was fine. We were out of town and I left the car sitting in the driveway over the weekend and when I got back in it it wouldnt start.

Try giving the battery a GOOD charge. Each cell should contribute 2.2 volts.Take a good look at the battery and alternator wiring.The PCM shouldn't require any special procedure. A schematic would help me give you a better guess.
