i have a chevrolet trailblazer 02 lt. the muffler rattles at idle when i firts start the engine, it comes and goes

Your rubber brackets holding your muffler and exhaust system in place may be failing. You may want to take a look at them.

also check catalytic converter

also check everywhere that pipes meet up, i.e. where the catalytic converter mates next pipe, pipe to muffler etc. anywhere you see bolts and clamps check to see if those are loose.
