I have a strange noise from the heater when turned on and off . The noise is coming from the Glove compartment area.

could be something in blower
could be something in blower motor fan, ie- leaves/mice nest, or the motor bearing failing, that noise is a squeak. is there an oder?

sounds like blower motor problem. winter coming better fix it.
best to get a manual or
best to get a manual or subscribe to alldatadiy.com and fix it right - it may be that something got in the blower wheel to make the noise but i would change the motor whie i had it out.

BLOWER MOTOR AND WHEEL
BLOWER MOTOR AND WHEEL ASSEMBLY
The blower motor is located on the right side of the heater housing. The blower motor and the blower motor wheel must be replaced as an assembly.
here are the inst. from the chrysler manuel. i cann't seem to be able to post pics thou. if you need more info, let me know. mws919
REMOVAL
Open hood and disconnect the negative battery cable remote terminal from the remote battery post Negative Battery Cable Remote Terminal
Remove lower right under panel duct.
Remove blower motor connector from resistor block/power module.
Squeeze blower motor wiring grommet and push grommet through blower motor housing cover.
Remove blower motor housing cover.
Remove blower motor retaining screws.
Lower blower motor from housing.
INSTALLATION
For installation, reverse the above procedures
