I just had the VVT-i control value on my 2000 Lexus ES 300 replaced. Lexus recommended I replace the timing belt again. It was replaced at 91873 miles, the current mileage is 139,848. They say I'm aware of TB failure w/ oil saturation. Comment pleas

how many miles on it now?
it's a 90,000 mile belt and the 2 repairs do not over lap each other, so no money saved on either repair.
If the belt was contaminated
If the belt was contaminated with oil then repalce it, if not then don't (there is no big advantage in replacing it if the current belt is almost new).
