the marks are on the chain sprocket - when you have engine on tdc the arrows should be pointing at each other if installed correctly.

Two options I've used in the past. First, try getting a print out of the timing chain alignment diagram from the dealer. Second, sometimes it is worth it to buy a Haynes manual from the parts store. ***check it first to be sure it has what you're looking for.
