As i was explaining what my constant problem with my 99 chev. cavalier 2.2liter. dash problem has also gone to making the radio turn on n off mainly cutting off and on while driving and all the dash gauges constantly continue to go on and off. Theres also been a couple of times that the car hasnt wanted to turn over as in actually turn on where i have found myself straned for about three to four hours. then finally the car decides to actually turn over. where i constantly mess with the ignition turning it back and forward till my radio time actually restarts itself then thats when i know the car will turn over and i will get it started to get to my destination. Well i hope you can help me out with my technical difficulties.

Could be a "BCM" (body control module) problem, but mostly it sounds like a a defective ignition switch. I don't mean the key switch. The ignition switch is a different part from the key switch. You should also check with a dealer for a "TSB" (technical service bulletin) I think there is one. The factory alarm module needs to be checked as well. Are there any error codes? If there are post them so we can see them. Do the same with any "BCM" codes.
there is a TSB on this. Call
there is a TSB on this. Call you dealer to see if there is a reprogram available for this car. Remember a TSB is not a recall so calling the dealer is just for information ans clearification.
Most likely you'll have to replace the instrument cluster and it may need to be reprogrammed in order for it to work properly (this is where the dealer comes in).
