how much water? when water is
how much water?
when water is sucked into a running engin it's called a hydro lock and most times it bends the connecting rods.
3 things to check frist, compression, fuel pressure and ignition spark at spark plugs.
It was about 2 ft deep & I
It was about 2 ft deep & I would of been fine but a truck came towards me making the water splash & thats when I stalled.
may not of hurt engin, check
may not of hurt engin, check the 3 and let us know what you come up with.
Ok...everything has been
Ok...everything has been checked on this & the car is running. Has good/normal power, cranked right over once it had new battery put in & reset computer. After running last night for the first time in a few weeks, drained the oil again this morning & refilled it. Started again & let it run. There's only 1 problem & thats a tick or ping type sound coming from valve train area. Any ideas on this? He took looked in all the cylinders, etc. & the oil is circulating properly, has great compression & all the things you said to check. It almost sounds like a little rock ping on something but in the same place each time. At one point we wondered if it might be the catalytic converter. Sounds kinda like when thos start going & ping/tick. Thanks!
check for a spark at the
check for a spark at the spark plug wires first, and go from there (with our advise).
In addition to what's aready
In addition to what's aready been posted, you have to define won't start. Are you saying the engine is crankin, and won't turn over, or are you sayin it's not even crankin?
It's an upper valve train
It's an upper valve train noise due to a carbon build up. Try usin a top tier fuel for a while, and a few applications sea foam.
