Replace Front Wheel Bearings on 2000 pontiac grand prix

loosen the hub nut 1 full

loosen the hub nut 1 full turn but do not remove.
reaise and support vehicle - remove tire and wheel assembly - remove caliper mounting bracket to steering knuckle mounting bolts remove caliper and bracket assembly , don't remove the brake line - support it with a tie wire out of the way - remove the rotor - remove the nut and washer - use a hub puller tool and push the halfshaft out of the hub assembly about an inch - remove the the hub assemby to knuckle bolts - if it has abs remove the sensor mounting bolt and position the abs sensor out of the way. remove hub assembly. clean all parts well install hub and bearing assembly in reverse order with new bearings. - i would have the manual in front of me while doing this as it has pics or subscribe to alldatadiy.com and follow step by step. the bolts must be torqued to the correct specifications.

good info! there are two types of hub. one with metal bracket and the other with plastic bracket. you will need to know befor going to the parts store, they will ask. the bracket is behind the steering knuckel and the hub sensor clips on to it. there is also a few priced ones, i'd rec. the costly one. had too manys returns with the cheap fits all ones. good luck with it.
