Where are my diagnostic components? I can't find the ecu module or the diagnostic connectors on my 91 Subaru Legacy L, wagon, My repair manual says my Legacy ecu is located under the carpet on the passenger side and that I don't need to remove the seat

left side of steering colunm under dash, there is a few connectors, your looking for the black connector.
i know these cars well, what kind of problem are you having?

Hello, I have a 1993 subaru

Hello, I have a 1993 subaru legacy.. the check engine light came one about 6 months ago.. the engine was bad at cold starts.. we checked the engine light and threw a code for the temperature control sensor. we changed the sensor and the reset the ecu.. the car still throws a code after 3 miles.. and then the car won't start again.. if you unhook the battery and the code is reset the car will start fine.. but with the engine light coming back on the car will not start..and still throws the same code, can you please help
