the adjuster bolt sticks out
the adjuster bolt sticks out the side of transmission, one forward and one in rear. here's how, OVERDRIVE AND INTERMEDIATE BAND ADJUSTMENT
Remove and discard locknut.
Install new locknut.
Tighten adjusting screw to 10 ft. lbs.
Back off two turns each for overdrive and intermediate band.
Hold screw and tighten locknut.
