The oil filter is center of
The oil filter is center of the car just behind the front bumper . there is a plastic cover marked oil filter held on with 10mm hex head screws remove the cover . the filter is a element type remove the Allen or torch screw 1st then spin off the cast aluminum filter cover be sure to have a oil pan under its messy !!!!also make sure You replace the o-rings supplied with the filter or it will leak !!!
Look under the car and you’re
Look under the car and you’re gonna see a plastic “Skid Plate” (cover) that covers the entire engine area. Now offset to the passenger side of the cover your gonna see an access panel held on with a few screws. Remove the screws and the panel, and look inside and you’ll see a canister with a plastic cap at the bottom of it. Inside that canister is the housing for the oil filter. It’s a cartridge (plain element) type of filter. To remove it you gotta take out the “Allen Screw” at the bottom of the plastic cap to let the housing drain. Now remove the cap itself. The new filter is gonna come with two rubber “O-RINGS”. One ring is the seal for the drain plug and the other ring is the seal for the plastic cap. Make sure you use the new rings and not the old ones. A CONVERSION to a TRADITIONAL "Spin ON" type of filter is POSSIBLE!!!
