shouldn't hurt to drive it
shouldn't hurt to drive it but i would get the drive train checked to see whats causing the switch failure. may be something as simple as the switch itself

the 4x4 is controlled by a lever. it can be an electrical problem but does circuits dont cross. is the engine light on?
Look in the owners' manual to
Look in the owners' manual to find out what other components are controlled by the fuses which protect the radio, door and window circuits. There is likely a common cause here (not necessarily for the four wheel drive problem). This problem could get worse, a short could blow fuses, burn wires in the harness, etc. [there is also a legend of the fuses and the circuits they protect on the fuse box cover]
