Have you had this problem for some time or did it just start? Rule out the basics first. Make sure the accelerator cable is not being restricted anywhere. Try lubricating the cable. Make sure the floor mat is not interfering with the accelerator pedal. I can't remember for sure, but there might be a TSB out for the problem. To confirm a TSB check with a dealer. While at the dealer inquire about a "Computer Re-flash".

checkfor vauum leaks and remove the ar tube from air filter to throtle body and look at throttle plates.
