if it's a diesel you will need to prime the fuel system. on a gas engine I would first try to find the fuel pump reset button. If that does not work you may have fried the fuel pump. Running newer vehicles with the in tank electric fuel pump is extremely hard on the pump. sometimes alls it takes is one time.
