1999 Toyota Solara....fuel filter is under my hood...line to engine is quick release...line from the pump is threaded, cannot get fuel filter to break loose from threads...any suggegtions??

i use a crows foot wrench and
i use a crows foot wrench and a leverage bar to brake it free. then if the nut will not spin on the line, i spin the filter to get it off. same going on, spin filter. mws919

yea thats what i was tryin. took the filters bracket completely off and gave it hell. I hope some idiot didnt use thread locker or something. First time attempting to change since i bought the vehicle.
i've had the nut strip
i've had the nut strip threads, frist filter. back then they had a problem in asembley with over tighting it. made you scared to sell the service. any way good luck with it.

i can see that. im no mechanic but i know enough to keep mine and runnin and give a little advice. Changed a few before and never had a problem gettin one off. appreciate your time.
