Does it have a carburetor?

Does it have a carburetor? Some of these vehicles suffer from carburetor gassing. The bottom of the carburetor body becomes so hot that the fuel boils on the float bowl and spills out into the intake, flooding the engine. Once the engine sits long enough for the excess fuel to evaporate, it starts again.
Check for this condition by looking into the carb the next time it cuts off when it heats up. If so, try using a thicker carb base gasket and a cooler thrmostat.
