I have a 1995 GM chassis P37N. I no fuel pressure from an in tank fuel pump. I have checked fuel filter and is clear. Is there a fuse that may controll pump that can be checked prior to going through tha trouble of finding the pump as it is in a touph pla

If it has an in-tank fuelpump

If it has an in-tank fuelpump also check the oil sending unit , on older chevy vehicles they operate through the oil sending unit as a safety switch , if it senses 0 oil pressure it will not allow the fuel pump to pump during chranking

Check the fuel pump fuse and

Check the fuel pump fuse and relay in the underhood power distribution center (fuse box under the hood). Relay should click when the ignition switch is turned on. You should be able to feel the relay click.
If fuse and relay are good, check for power at the fuel pump wiring connector at the gas tank (should have power for about 2 seconds after the key is turn on (don no t crank the engine). (this is regardless of oil presure, becasue you don't have to spin the engine over for these tests)
Also check the fuel pump ground wire.

By the way you should be able to hear the fuel pump hum when the key is turned on by listening at the gas tank filled with the gas cap off. (or you can touch the gas tank and should feel the vibrations from the pump when the key is turned on).

Post your results.
