Commonly when you run out of fuel, dirt from the bottom of the gas tank gets sucked into the fuel pump, damaging the pump.
The wiring to the fuel pump are under the back seat if needed check for power. You should be able to hear the pump turn on with the key. If not check the fuel pump relay for power.
The most common solution for this problem is to replace the fuel pump. Replace the fuel filter as well if needed.

Hope the above advice helps,
Hope the above advice helps, sadly this could be an expensive lesson for you. It is never a good idea to let your car run out of gas. The standing rule in our family is at 1/4 tank, go fill up. There is just so much sediment and junk that accumulates in the bottom of the tank and that junk is very hard on fuel pumps, filters and injectors. Good Luck and I hope it is an easy fix.
If bleeding the fuel line
If bleeding the fuel line doesn't work.
Check the fuel pump fuse. Next, check the fuel pump relay (should be able to hear/feel it click when the key is turned on). The relay will have power to it for about 2 seconds and then the power turns off (this is normal). If the relay doesn't work, switch it with another identical relay (there is often one or two others in the relay/fuse box which will interchange with the fuel pump relay); check this relay when you turn the switch on. If it works now, replace the bad relay.
If you get the same result, locate the fuel pump wiring harness connector (near the tank) unplug the connector and use a test light to check for power within the first 2 seconds after the ign. switch is turned on.
If you get power there, check the ground wire (black) to be sure it is getting a good ground. If so, you will need to remove the gas tank so that you can remove the fuel pump, test it again and/or replace it.
