radio

I have a 2000 sentra and the light for the clock and radio stations doesn't come on at night

Ed, Is the radio OE or

Ed,

Is the radio OE or aftermarket? If OE then read as per below. If aftermarket post the make and model model number.

Then the LED's inside the radio are part of a PC Board. The board can be replaced, but it's only gonna pay for you to replace it if you can do the job yourself. The board is gonna cost about 90 bucks and you gotta buy it from the manufacturer of the radio. If you can't replace the board yourself, and you gotta pay someone for the labor of removing the radio, replacin the board, then re-installin the radio it doesn't pay. At that point go to a Walmart Super Store and buy another radio. If you go the route of buyin another radio, don't forget to get a wire harness adaptor. The adaptor allows for the installation of the radio without splicing into the OE wiring. Walmart sells the adaptors as well.
