I have a Nissan Pathfinder and it is hard to shift gears from stop on manual transmission.

I would say that the problem

I would say that the problem is that the clutch is not releasing. This can be due to a broken or stretched release cable. There could also be defective clutch pedal bushings or brackets. There are really a number of items that could be leading to this. You will need to either repair the clutch or replace the clutch.

I would check your clutch

I would check your clutch fluid and the slave cylinder. Try and determine if you have a leak in the system. my truck had this problem and i thought i was going to have to get a new clutch. it was just a slow loss of pressure from the slave cylinder.
