I have a 89 Cutlass Ciera 2.8 motor. I have replaced my fuel filter and fuel pump. When I turn the car on it start and idles but when I try to rev it up it dies out. What causes this?

O.k. typing error, didnot check fuel pressure until this morning.attached fuel pressure tester, then turn key to on, fuelpump made noise guage pressrue went up over 60psi then drop to 0psi, turn to crank engine running,let runfor 5min cont on answer!!

I have a 1973 cj5 jeep, when im climbing an incline my engine dies and wont start till i go to flat ground. My fuel seems not to be holding pressure when on an incline, but runs great when driving arround on flat ground. Do i need a new fuel pump? Thanks
